How do Thai herbs reduce hair loss? AloEx sent them to the Chulalongkorn University laboratory for testing and found that Thai herbs have many benefits that can effectively reduce hair loss.

In a world filled with numerous extracts that help reduce hair loss, address thinning hair, and promote thicker hair, AloEx continues to prioritize herbal extracts as its primary ingredients for hair loss reduction. This formula is based on an ancient Thai traditional medicine recipe, which has been used for generations to treat hair loss. AloEx began caring for Thai individuals with hair loss concerns by offering a hair loss reduction shampoo or hair loss treatment shampoo. Hair tonic for reducing hair loss and other hair loss reduction products, available since 1990, with numerous reviews from real customers guaranteeing results. Not only does it reduce hair loss, but it also helps address hair loss and increase hair thickness.* 92% of users experienced reduced hair loss, and within 1 month, new healthy hair growth was observed.**

Test results show that the herbal extracts in AloEx help reduce hair loss thanks to terpenes and high levels of antioxidants.

สมุนไพรช่วยลดผมร่วง

Test results from the Research Centre for Bioorganic Chemistry (RCBC), Faculty of Science, Department of Chemistry, Chulalongkorn University, dated December 24, 2023, found high levels of terpenes and antioxidants in the hair loss treatment product AloEx, which uses herbal extracts as its main ingredients. AloEx has selected 15 key herbs for hair loss care, including... Aloe vera, bamboo, golden thread, Indian gooseberry, rice bran, safflower, Phayayor, centella, and tribulus terrestris. Sarapee, jasmine, candle bush, tamarind, and kaffir lime leaves are herbs traditionally used in ancient Thai medicine to treat hair loss. These herbs possess numerous beneficial properties, including:

  • Helps inhibit the activity of the enzyme 5α-Reductase, reducing the production of Dihydrotestosterone (DHT), a hormone that is another cause of hair loss (related research [1] [2] [3]).
  • Stimulates new hair growth by enhancing blood circulation on the scalp, allowing nutrients, proteins, vitamins, and minerals to reach the hair follicles effectively.
  • Improved circulation to the scalp, resulting in better hair regrowth (related research [4] [5] [6])
  • Antibacterial and antifungal properties that help prevent hair loss (Related research [7] [8])
  • Anti-inflammatory for the scalp, which not only prevents hair loss but also helps reduce dandruff (related research [9] [10] [11]).
  • Antioxidant properties help combat free radicals, which are the cause of aging hair follicles and premature hair loss (related research [8] [11] [12] [13] [14]).
Although it is somewhat known that herbs have numerous benefits for hair and scalp, to ensure that Thai herbs are recognized globally, AloEx has sent its hair loss treatment product, AloEx, to the RCBC Research Institute at Chulalongkorn University for testing. The aim is to evaluate the effectiveness of Thai herbs in addressing hair loss issues, proving that they are as effective as any other extracts worldwide.

Nine important terpene compounds have been found in AloEx that help reduce hair loss and decrease other factors that cause hair loss. They also help treat hair loss and increase hair thickness.

Terpene, or terpene, is a type of volatile oil that occurs naturally, with scents varying widely. Most people are familiar with terpenes from cannabis, as cannabis contains numerous terpenes that offer medical benefits when used correctly. However, terpenes are actually found in many other plants, including various Thai herbs.
AloEx uses the hydrosol method to extract herbs, resulting in a concentrated herbal extract that maximizes the effectiveness of these herbs in nourishing strong hair, reducing hair loss, and promoting new hair growth. This extraction method, derived from a variety of herbs, gives AloEx a wide range of terpenes. According to testing by the RCBC, the product contains substances of the type Terpenes from herbs with numerous beneficial properties for hair and scalp, totaling 9 types, including:

The test results found antioxidants in AloEx. Very high! It effectively reduces hair loss.

AloEx has conducted product testing at the Research Centre for Bioorganic Chemistry (RCBC), Faculty of Science, Department of Chemistry, Chulalongkorn University, once again on March 17, 2024. Test results found that AloEx herbal product for scalp and hair contains antioxidants at levels up to 371 times higher than Trolox, which is the standard substance for measuring antioxidant content, and has an IC50 value of 24. μg/ml enhances the effectiveness of hair and scalp care, prolongs the growth phase (anagen) of hair, and results in slower hair loss.
The herbal extract in AloEx products has a Trolox Equivalent Antioxidant Capacity (TEAC) value of 371 mg Trolox/g. The higher this value, the greater the antioxidant content. The lower the IC50, the better the antioxidant capacity. A value below 50 μg/ml indicates a very high antioxidant ability, while a value above 150 μg/ml means only mild antioxidant activity.

What are free radicals?

Free radicals are substances that result from bodily reactions, causing cells to deteriorate and age more rapidly than they should, leading to cellular damage. Free radicals can arise from bodily functions or external factors we encounter daily, such as intense sunlight, dust, pollution, germs, stress, insufficient rest, and many others. Normally, the body can produce antioxidants to manage free radicals or obtain them from consumed nutrients. However, as we age, the body produces fewer antioxidants, making it insufficient to handle free radicals. Therefore, it is advisable to use products containing antioxidants to enhance the efficiency of cell care and repair damage caused by free radicals.

How do free radicals cause hair loss?

Free radicals can cause damage to scalp health and hair. They are a contributing factor to weak scalp and hair loss problems because free radicals accelerate the deterioration of hair follicle cells, reduce the production of new hair, and damage proteins, collagen, and keratin, which are essential components for hair growth. Additionally, they increase scalp inflammation. If left untreated for a long time, it may cause severe damage, such as severe hair loss, thinning hair, slow hair regrowth, dandruff, itching, or even baldness.

How are high antioxidants beneficial for the scalp and hair?

Using scalp and hair care products with high antioxidant content helps protect and maintain scalp cells and hair strands, preventing premature damage or deterioration. Additionally, it shields the scalp and hair roots from various chemicals used in coloring, resulting in a stronger scalp and hair roots, and reduced hair loss. New hair grows thicker and darker, with a radiant shine. Antioxidants help extend the growth phase (Anagen) of hair, allowing it to grow longer and stronger before falling out prematurely.

In addition, antioxidants help protect hair follicle cells from damage caused by free radicals, strengthening the hair roots and promoting overall health. They also help restore youthfulness to the hair roots, enabling them to produce new hair strands, resulting in thicker, fuller, and darker hair. This process slows down premature graying.

AloEx scalp and hair care products have been tested and proven that the herbal extracts in various products have antioxidant values up to 371 times higher than Trolox and have an IC₅₀ value. = 24 μg/ml, which, when compared to other natural extracts known for their high antioxidant content, clearly demonstrates that the herbal extract in AloEx products has significantly higher antioxidant levels. It effectively restores the health of scalp and hair damaged by free radicals and provides effective protection against future damage.

TEAC values of AloEx extract and other herbal extracts, arranged from highest to lowest
  1. AloEx Phenolic Complex Extract 371 mg TE/g. ⁽¹⁾
  2. Black Tea 181.32 mg TE /g. ⁽²⁾
  3. Green Tea 123.88 mg TE/g. ⁽³⁾
  4. Berry 100.06 mg TE /g. ⁽⁴⁾
  5. Grape Seed 70.83 mg TE/g. ⁽⁵⁾
  6. Rosemary 50.7 mg TE/g. ⁽⁶⁾
